How To Apply

Steps to Become a BPI GoldStar Contractor

  1. Read the BPI GoldStar Contractor Program Policies and Procedures.
  2. Read the Contractor Benefits and Obligations.
  3. Fill out a BPI GoldStar Contractor application. Email the scanned application to goldstar@bpi.org or print it out and mail or fax it to BPI.
  4. Employ a BPI Certified Professional. The BPI GoldStar Contractor program requires a minimum of one (1) full-time Building Analyst, Building Analyst Professional, Home Energy Professional (HEP) Energy Auditor certification.
  5. Dispute Resolution Plan: If you don’t already have a documented customer dispute resolution plan, create one (see sample with application).
  6. Insurance: Comply with all insurance requirements as listed in the application.
  7. Sign and submit the application by email to goldstar@bpi.org or mail/fax and pay the program fee, either in one annual payment or monthly.
  8. Approval: BPI will notify about your approval status.
  9. Once your application is approved, BPI will email you a gap analysis survey to determine what training may benefit your company.

Renewal: Annual (January renewal)

Fee Schedule: $100/month ($1200 annually)
