BPI Staff to Present at National Home Performance Conference

Saratoga Springs, NY - The National Home Performance Conference, now in its 37th year, brings together thousands of contractors, weatherization professionals, trainers, program administrators, energy auditors, and others working in residential energy efficiency for the latest industry education.

This year BPI staff will present several sessions at the conference, to be held in Seattle, Washington, April 17th-20th.

Director of Workforce Development Nancy Kaplan will take part in a panel on workforce development programs and partnerships on Monday the 17th. This session will introduce several workforce partnerships and programs that you can utilize in your organization and community. Hear how these partnerships with schools, utilities and governments expand building performance practices in the current workforce for everyday contractors and emerging young professionals.

Are you discouraged by seeing improperly sized air source heat pumps that fail to deliver savings and result in dissatisfied customers? Check out BPI CEO Larry Zarker's shared presentation on industry efforts to develop common guidance around best practices for retrofitting homes to meet homeowners' heating and cooling needs.

Ask all your questions about BPI's certification and standards updates on Wednesday at 10am, in a session with Larry and Richard Faesy of Energy Futures Group. Get details on the update process for the Building Analyst and Envelope certifications and the introduction of the Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) and a Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) certifications.

Don't miss the Women in Building Performance networking breakfast on Wednesday at 7 am. Breakfast will be provided, and pre-registration is not required.
