(Malta, NY) May 25, 2017 - The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) has recognized one new product in its Product Listing Program that meets, or exceeds, industry standards.

In the window category, Mercury Excelum, Inc. has listed their EOS+/Icon Double Hung Window. This window was designed to meet the criteria for ENERGY STAR 6.0 as well as its "Most Efficient Window" designation by outperforming standard ENERGY STAR requirements. The Energy Optimized System (EOS) is available in New Construction and Replacement configurations, with U-Factors as low as .17 and Air Infiltration of .04 cfm/ft2.

To be featured on BPI's approved Product List, products must meet the appropriate industry standard or efficacy requirement that BPI identifies. Once the product is tested, reviewed and approved, the product's manufacturer is eligible to place the BPI Listed Product logo on its packaging and marketing materials.

The benefits for manufacturers of having their products listed include: differentiation of higher quality materials; identification as a leader in the home performance industry; and direct connection of consumers and contractors to the manufacturer's website.

The BPI Product Listing currently has 30 products from eight different categories.
