Malta, NY (December 10, 2018) - The Building Performance Institute (BPI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Nancy Kaplan to Director of Workforce Development.
Nancy has been with BPI for 10 years and has held multiple roles, most recently, as Manager of Workforce Development. Nancy has also been the lead advocate and spokesperson for the Building Science Principles (BSP) Reference Guide and certificate since its launch in 2012. Nancy previously served as Manager of Major Accounts where she developed relationships with state and utility energy efficiency programs, BPI Test Centers, and other BPI stakeholders. She also served as the Manager of Test Center Development for five years. Nancy is based out of the Malta, New York office.
“Nancy brings a wealth of experience to the pressing needs for a trained and credentialed workforce. She has fostered the continuing development of BPI’s network of Test Centers and works with programs in every state to solve the crisis the industry is facing in securing experienced and dependable workers,” said BPI CEO Larry Zarker.
BPI’s new Workforce Development department will focus on helping recruit the next generation of home performance and weatherization professionals into the industry and developing opportunities and skills for existing workers.
BPI Director of Marketing and Communications, Hannah C. Wood, is moving on to a new opportunity. We thank her for her work over the last 2.5 years, including the redevelopment of the organization’s website for professionals (bpi.org), leading the company’s rebranding, and spearheading our marketing and communications strategies.
